TxCIA Joins Groundbreaking Industry Coalition to Submit Arguments to Supreme Court

As part of an unprecedented captive insurance industry coalition, the Texas Captive Insurance Association  has joined with nearly two dozen captive insurance organizations to file an amicus brief before the U.S. Supreme Court in the case of CIC Services LLC v. IRS (‘CIC’). Read more

Regular 85th Legislative Session Recap

TxCIA's Legislation, HB 1944, Signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott 

On June 15, 2017, House Bill 1944 became law. These changes will make it easier for companies to redomicile or start captives in the State of Texas.

TxCIA's Bills SB 915 and HB 1944 filed in the 85th Texas Legislature

On February 15, 2017, Senate Bill 915 and House Bill 1944 were filed by Senator Hughes and Representative Murphy, respectively.
